The Backing Britain Virtual Breakfast Mornings have been upgraded!

Join fellow business leaders and professionals every other Wednesday at 9 am with the Made in Group.

The Made in Group offers businesses a platform to connect and share best practice in the manufacturing community, we do this by facilitating roundtable discussions and networking opportunities at accessible virtual events.

Members also have the chance to learn best practice from 3 hosting speakers, this is followed by a 30-minute round table discussion on relevant topics.

Andrew Charlesworth- Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)  Business Development Manager who will be dicussing Adressing Skills Challenges.  Only 45% of companies with skills challenges, address these through training and apprenticeships but 50 % of companies face recruitment difficulties. What organisations such as the MTC are doing to train the manufacturers and engineers of the future

Seamus Bourke - Business Devlopment Manager who will be discussing Sustainable Manufacturing. As the largest silver plating company in the UK, Seamus will be taking listeners through how Frost achieved rinse water savings with a 3 way flow rinsing chemical bath. The latest process has allowed the company to reduce water consumption and recycle precious metals such as silver and gold. He will also touch on the company’s latest plans to ‘go greener.’

Oliver Pogmore - Head of Business Development will be discussing Industry 4.0. FourJaw is the UK’s fastest-growing productivity tracking platform, having spun out of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre a couple of years ago. We now serve 80+ customers and simply put; provide fundamental business data on when manufacturing machines are running, not running and most importantly why. We have some great examples of just how this Industry 4.0 tool is best used and look forward to sharing real examples of how manufacturers have benefited from the technology.
