We are currently recruiting for an Established Business Development Manager to join our team in Leeds www.madeinyorkshire.com . We are a membership and events company working in the Yorkshire manufacturing sector. The overall objective of this position is to sustain the planned growth in membership through securing and retaining business. This is an integral role to the business as you will be representing the business liaising at executive level through different channels of communication such as face to face meetings social media, linkedIn and networking events. A key part of this role is the ability to help consult and advise companies based on their individual requirements and relate them back to what we do.

Job Purpose
Acquiring new members to grow the network, attend Made in Yorkshire events and actively promote the organisation

Main Responsibilities

  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Acquiring new members
  • Planning and preparing presentations
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
  • Writing reports
  • Providing management with feedback
  • Prospecting using our CRM system
  • Attending relevant networking events and promoting the organisation

Measures of Success
Achieving your sales target, this would equate to between 5-7 sales per month.
You will be expected to generate a minimum of £15k per month in total contract value of new sales which would give you an earnings potential of £56k, our top people however have been achieving monthly sales of achieve monthly sales £25.8k, which would deliver an OTE of £80 per annum.
Achieving activity KPIs of 100+ calls per week, 150 emails per week and 6 new business meetings per week.

Requirements
Person Specification

  • Two years sales experience in a B2B sales environment
  • Some experience or knowledge of the manufacturing sector is an advantage
